I’d like to start off by saying I never ever write reviews, however Shaun and Steve of Greendale Car Sales went above and beyond to help me every step of the way from enquiry to purchase and are thoroughly deserving of a brilliant review.I found myself in the position to buy my second car unfortunately as a result of a near fatal crash, writing my first car off. Being a car enthusiast and having high expectations, I didn’t think that this was going to be easy. I knew that I specifically wanted an increasingly rare, low mileage, manual VW Polo GTI but was also open to other options.After scouring various websites daily, I came across the exact car I was looking for at Greendale Car Sales, Hawick. After enquiring about it I ended up putting down reservations on it as well as a 2020 VW Golf. Shaun and Steve were very helpful, upfront and honest, answering all my questions about the cars service and owner histories, while keeping me informed as to when both cars would be ready for test drives.Before I found this car, I had test driven a couple of cars from other, more local dealerships to get a feel for different options within my price range. I must say that in all my previous experience, whether looking for a car for myself or family and friends, I was always left unimpressed by either the standard of the cars or by pushy sales tactics. I am very happy to say that Greendale Car Sales are by far the best dealership I’ve been to and I cannot recommend them enough! When we arrived, Shaun greeted us and made us feel very welcome, taking us to the front of the dealership where the two cars were beautifully presented ready to view and test drive. They let me view the cars at my own pace uninterrupted until I was ready to sit down and ask more questions before test driving them. It is very clear that Greendale Car Sales take a lot of pride in every aspect of what they do. The cars they had available were all immaculate and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I went back a week later to pick up my new Polo GTI and I am over the moon with the car and the excellent customer care. I will certainly be recommending Greendale Car Sales to my friends and family and I’m hoping to go back for a VW Tiguan or Golf R in a couple of years!
